Scholarship Funding


SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING AVAILABLE: Scholarships are awarded by semester.

Purpose: To support academic success at a 2-year or 4-year education institution.
Requirements: Must have received a high school diploma or GED and be accepted or enrolled part-time or full-time in a 2-year or 4-year undergraduate or graduate degree program.  Applicants must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA or better to maintain scholarship.
Amount: See Sliding Scale: Varies upon GPA, Credits Attempting and Unmet Financial Need.
Duration: One semester.  A student may receive no more than two (2) general semester scholarships during the academic year. To receive funding for a third (3rd) semester applicant must fill in a new scholarship application.
Deadlines: April 1, July 1 and December 1

Vocational Grants are for students who are enrolled in a vocational or technical training.
Purpose: To promote preparation for successful careers in a specialized technical skills field.
Requirements: Must be accepted or enrolled in a Vocational/Technical School. Level 1 –Shorter term trainings i.e. OSHA Trainings, CPR, First Aid, etc. Level 2 – Long term classes or Colleges that run by quarters or terms and by not semesters: i.e. Career Academy, Charter College, AVTEC, and other Technical/Technology Institutes.
Amount: Level 1 – Training less than six (6) months: Up to $2500 per calendar year.
Level 2 – Training more than six (6) months: Up to $4500 per calendar year.
Duration: One per calendar year or ceiling amount is split into two (2) deadlines.
Deadline: 30 days prior to start date
