Vocational Training Grants

The Tebughna Foundation (TF) offers vocational training grants to applicants enrolled in technical skill training programs earning a certificate/certification or professional license. Applications must be submitted 30 days prior to program start dates.


  • TNC original enrollee or direct lineal descendant and/or tribal member of the Native Village of Tyonek.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be accepted or enrolled in a Vocational/Technical School.

Award Details:

  • Vocational Level 1 – Short-Term Classes (i.e. OSHA Trainings, CPR, First Aid, etc.)
    Training less than six (6) months: Up to $1000 per calendar year.
  • Vocational Level 2 – Long-Term Classes or Colleges that run by quarters or terms and by not semesters (i.e. Career Academy, Charter College, AVTEC, and other Technical/Technology Institutes.)
    Training more than six (6) months: Up to $2000 per calendar year.

Award Terms:

  • Upon receiving an award, students must maintain all funding requirements in order to remain in good standing with TF and remain eligible for future funding.
  • Failure to maintain funding requirements may result in probation and/or infraction status with potential loss of funding.
  • Fund uses: direct educational expenses including tuition, student registration fees, course-required book/supplies.
  • Applicants will be evaluated based on the information submitted with their application.
  • Awards are subject to available funding.
