Vocational Training Grants
The Tebughna Foundation (TF) offers vocational training grants to applicants enrolled in technical skill training programs earning a certificate/certification or professional license. Applications must be submitted 30 days prior to program start dates.
Requirements:
- TNC original enrollee or direct lineal descendant and/or tribal member of the Native Village of Tyonek.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be accepted or enrolled in a Vocational/Technical School.
Award Details:
- Short-Term Classes (i.e. OSHA Trainings, CPR, First Aid, etc.), less than six months:
- Qualified NVT tribal citizens: Up to $1000 per calendar year
- Qualified TNC shareholders: Up to $4000 per calendar year
- Vocational Colleges (i.e. Career Academy, Charter College, AVTEC, etc.), more than six months:
- Qualified NVT tribal citizens: Up to $2000 per calendar year
- Qualified TNC shareholders: Up to $6000 per calendar year
Award Terms:
- Upon receiving an award, students must maintain all funding requirements in order to remain in good standing with TF and remain eligible for future funding.
- Failure to maintain funding requirements may result in probation and/or infraction status with potential loss of funding.
- Fund uses: direct educational expenses including tuition, student registration fees, course-required book/supplies.
- Applicants will be evaluated based on the information submitted with their application.
- Awards are subject to available funding.
